Kazbegi, officially known as Stepantsminda, is a picturesque mountain region in northern Georgia, near the Russian border. Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Greater Caucasus, it is famous for Mount Kazbek, one of the highest mountains in the region. The iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, perched on a hilltop with stunning views, is a symbol of Georgian heritage. DAY 4 KAKHETI/ Overnight in Tbilisi
Kakheti, located in eastern Georgia is known for its 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition. Visitors can enjoy Georgian wines made in traditional clay vessels called "qvevri", and taste delicious local cuisine. Signature dishes include khachapuri, mtsvadi (grilled meat), and churchkhela. Signaghi, often called the “City of Love,” is a charming hilltop town in Georgia’s Kakheti region. According to the story, Niko Pirosmani, Georgia’s legendary painter, fell deeply in love with a French actress, Margarita de Sevres, and sold everything he owned to cover a street with millions of roses to impress her. The town allows couples to register their marriages at any time making it a special place to celebrate love.
DAY 5 KUTAISI / Overnight in Kutaisi
Kutaisi is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and welcoming atmosphere. Located in western Georgia, Kutaisi offers visitors a blend of ancient landmarks, charming streets, and scenic surroundings. Martvili and Okatse canyon are located close to Kutaisi. Visitors can explore the canyons by walking along well-maintained paths and viewing platforms that provide stunning views of waterfalls and lush greenery.
DAY 6 KUTAISI / Overnight in Tbilisi
Highlights of Kutaisi city include the UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery, which was founded in 1106 by King David the builder, One of the greatest kings in Georgian history. According to his wish, he was buried near the entrance of the monastery so that every visitor would walk over his grave, symbolizing humility. A must-see attraction near Kutaisi is Prometheus Cave, which is located approximately 80 meters below ground level and stretches for several kilometers.
