According to the story, Niko Pirosmani, Georgia’s legendary painter, fell deeply in love with a French actress, Margarita de Sevres, and sold everything he owned to cover a street with millions of roses to impress her. The town allows couples to register their marriages at any time making it a special place to celebrate love.
