DAY 3 KAZBEGI/ Overnight in Tbilisi
Kazbegi, officially known as Stepantsminda, is a picturesque mountain region in northern Georgia, near the Russian border. Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Greater Caucasus, it is famous for Mount Kazbek, one of the highest mountains in the region. The iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, perched on a hilltop with stunning views, is a symbol of Georgian heritage. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, fresh mountain air, and outdoor adventures like hiking and trekking, Kazbegi is a must-visit destination for nature lovers. DAY 4 KAKHETI / Overnight in Tbilisi
Kakheti, located in eastern Georgia is known for its 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition. Visitors can enjoy Georgian wines made in traditional clay vessels called "qvevri", and taste delicious local cuisine. Signature dishes include khachapuri, mtsvadi (grilled meat), and churchkhela. Signaghi, often called the “City of Love,” is a charming hilltop town in Georgia’s Kakheti region. According to the story, Niko Pirosmani, Georgia’s legendary painter, fell deeply in love with a French actress, Margarita de Sevres, and sold everything he owned to cover a street with millions of roses to impress her. The town allows couples to register their marriages at any time making it a special place to celebrate love.
DAY 5 GORI-UPLISTSIKHE-BORJOMI/ Overnight in Borjomi
Gori, historic city in central Georgia, known as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin- a Soviet political leader who ruled the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death. His museum here gives a glimpse into his life and times.
Uplistsikhe, An ancient rock-hewn town near Gori, carved into the cliffs over 3,000 years ago. It’s a fascinating site with tunnels, temples, and dwellings showing how people lived long before medieval Georgia. This was a political, religious, and cultural center long before Tbilisi became the capital.
Borjomi Central Park is the heart of the Borjomi and one of its most popular attractions. This beautifully maintained park is famous for its natural mineral water spring, where visitors can taste Borjomi water directly from the source.
DAY 6 RABATI-VARDZIA/ Overnight in Borjomi
Rabati, a stunning medieval fortress in Akhaltsikhe that tells the story of centuries of Georgian history. Inside the walls, you’ll find a mix of architecture: Orthodox churches, a mosque, and a synagogue, reflecting the cultural and religious diversity of the region over time.
Vardzia: An extraordinary 12th-century architectural masterpiece carved into rock, Vardzia is a breathtaking medieval complex of caves, tunnels, and ancient frescoes. According to the story, queen Tamar was playing inside the caves while the complex was being built. At some point, she got lost, and her uncle started calling out to find her. She replied: “Ak var, dzia!” — meaning “I am here, uncle!” in Georgian. People believe that over time, this phrase evolved into the name Vardzia.
DAY 7 BATUMI /Overnight in Batumi
Prometheus cave is located approximately 80 meters below ground level and stretches for several kilometers. This magnificent underground world is famous for its vast halls, stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and beautifully illuminated pathways.
Batumi: The pearl of Georgia’s Black Sea coast, where the gentle waves meet a skyline of modern glass towers and elegant historic buildings. The streets tell stories of centuries past, with cobblestone alleys, ornate balconies, and vibrant cafés that echo the city’s European heritage.
DAY 8 MAKHUNTSETI WATERFALL /Overnight in Batumi
Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of the most picturesque natural attractions in Georgia, located in the lush forests near the town of Batumi. The waterfall plunges approximately 12 meters into a clear pool below, creating a breathtaking scene perfect for photography and nature walks.
Queen Tamar Bridge is one of the oldest and most famous stone arch bridges in Georgia. The bridge was built throught medival period and was constructed from volcanic stone and lime mortar. It's strong structure has survived for centuries despite floods, weather changes and heave use by travelers and traders.
DAY 9 MARTVILI CANYON/ Overnight in Tbilisi
Martvili Canyon: one of the most breathtaking natural attractions in Georgia, located in the Samegrelo region. Is is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic rock formations. Visitors can explore the canyon by walking along well-maintained paths and viewing platforms that provide stunning views of waterfalls and lush greenery.
